FAQs

How do you bill for your services?

Our standard billing procedure is to bill by the hour. We generally bill when our service for you is complete. We require payment upon receipt. We accept cash, check, or direct withdrawal payments made online. We do not currently accept credit cards.

Do you bill for phone calls and emails?

We would much rather have you call and get your questions taken care of so you don't run into problems later, so we do not bill for phone calls and emails unless the question requires further time and research.

What hours are you available?

Our hours vary, however we are happy to make arrangements for meetings at any time, so please call or email for an appointment.

What role do you play if the IRS audits me?

Our normal billing rates apply if you need help with an IRS or state notice, or audit. Many times notices are sent out despite the fact that a return was prepared correctly and we cannot prevent this from happening.

What do you need to prepare my tax return?

If this is the first year we will prepare your returns, we will need copies of the prior year's return that was filed. For your individual return, we will need copies, or originals, of all tax documents you have received and this will give us a good start. We will return all documents to you when the tax return is complete. For business returns, we will need a copy of your Quickbooks file, along with year-end statements for bank accounts, loans, and credit cards. With this information we will develop further questions to verify we have all the information we need.
